Consultation
Before your treatment with SkinPen microneedling in LaSalle, you'll meet with a LIV Wellness Lounge provider for a complimentary skin consultation. We'll examine your skin, discuss your concerns, and learn about your goals for this treatment. After determining that microneedling is your best treatment option, we'll create a custom treatment plan for you that meets your skin's needs.
Treatment
If your microneedling treatment is with PRP, we will first draw a small blood sample to extract the platelet-rich growth factors. Your provider will apply a topical numbing cream to prep your skin and ensure your comfort for the procedure. Next, they will use the SkinPen device across your skin. If receiving PRP, they will use this in conjunction with the microneedling treatment to deliver the proteins into your skin.
Results
Microneedling stimulates your skin to begin healing itself, so results are progressive. There is no downtime for this treatment. We achieve the best results after a full treatment plan course, typically 3 to 5 sessions total.
